This project featured stone throughout key areas of the home, the kitchen, bathroom and a bespoke fireside bench.

The client had a clear material vision from the outset. The day after our initial meeting, we sourced a striking Onyx slab in Belgium that ticked every box. The client was super excited and visited the warehouse in Belgium the next day! She selected the stone, along with some other Limestone for her entrance hall. 

We continued working closely with the client through the design and detailing stages to make sure the stone was used in a way that felt intentional and consistent with the wider language of the house.

Key details included:

• A rebate detail on the kitchen island, matching an existing feature repeated throughout the house, creating a subtle but effective sense of continuity

• His-and-hers sinks in the bathroom, vein-matched left to right and built up to 200mm to create the feel of a single solid piece

• A floating fireside bench with diagonal vein-matching, designed to feel light and architectural without losing the drama of the stone
